Sugar Aloes

Sugar Aloes, aka Michael Anthony Osuana, is a prominent calypsonian hailing from Trinidad and Tobago. Singing local hits such as "Party Time" and parang favourite "Juanita", Aloes has amassed a fan base of at least three generations of Trinidadians and calypso lovers region-wide.

 

Sugar Aloes is also famous for his songs "I Love Being Me" and "Signs of the end of Time". On Sunday 3 February 2008 Michael Anthony Osuana, aka Sugar Aloes, was crowned the winner of the Calypso Monarch 2008 Competition[1] at Queens Park Oval in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. He won this competition singing a song entitled "Look in the Mirrow". In this song, he made some sarcastic remarks about government, which maintained a certain degree of humour
